Recently Microsoft has released the Update for Windows 10 in October 2018, so I made a new template for Kimsufi, SoYouStart, OVH and Online.net servers. Install instructions are the same as my other Windows templates.First of all disable monitoring, once disabled, boot into rescue mode (netboot) from the Kimsufi control panel. Wait a few minutes and an email will show up in your inbox with the details (username and password) of the rescue system.Login at the rescue system using (or your favorite SSH client) and follow the following steps.Once fully downloaded and unzipped to the disk go back to the Kimsufi control panel and change Netboot to Hard Disk. Once done, reboot the server and wait till it responds to ping. We're planning to get some servers from a dedicated server isp in Germany called Hetzner. The only problem is that they only provide the following OS's: Debian 4.0 min, openSuSE 10.2 min, openSuSE 10.3 min, Ubuntu 7.04 min, Ubuntu 7.10 min, Fedora 8. Hetzner installed a new disk and booted up. I added the disk. Check if it boots into the rescue system. Request the rescue-system and then a hardware-reset. Windows operating system (64-Bit). Operating system installation preinstalled. The Image Installer allows you to install operating system images conveniently via the Rescue System.

Just change your DNS to this IP: 94.177.230.107 and advertisements will be blocked on Mobile phones, Tablets, Computers, Laptops and all other devices where you can browse the internet with.I recommend changing your DNS in your router so all devices within your network will use the Ad Blocking DNS automatically.This DNS server will stay online for a long time, so you do not need to worry about that. I was considering installing Windows 10 and seeing if they would install a GPU (and see if it would be cheaper if I provide the GPU) so I could install something like and just move all my gaming/computing to the cloud.I could then just replace all of my home stuff with Pi's. It would also be nice to edit, export, and upload video from a server.I could probably just use FTPS for file transfer or other cloud providers like OneDrive.I'll have to look into this a bit more before I try it, though.Edit: I just like the idea of having access to my PC from anywhere and not having to worry about anything hardware related. Yeah, I know latency might be an issue but I'll see how big of an impact that will make before I commit.This would also significantly lower travel baggage as I could just bring a Pi and HDMI cord and have access to my PC in any hotel room.If it does work I imagine I could install unRAID and a second GPU so my SO and I could 'share' the server for our personal PC in the cloud.If I can do this for less than $100/mo and latency isn't a huge issue then I'm going to do it. Two 1070s or even two RX 480/580s would be enough. If I'm able to get a 1700x with two GPUs at the very least one of the VMs would have 6 threads (I don't remember if you can split a core between VMs so each would get a thread) because I'd like to have 1 core dedicated to running unRAID. That would still be more than enough for pretty much any game.Video quality isn't a huge issue since we could handle two video feeds at 30 Mb/s no problem (preferably we would use adaptive bitrate and frame rate).While traveling we would probably opt to run our hotel room's network off of an LTE backhaul. Given bandwidth wouldn't be an issue but latency might. However, we would probably only be watching video so that wouldn't be a huge deal.I'll contact them and see if they can provide the hardware configuration I need and get a quote on the price. If they can then I'll begin testing latency to their data centres and replicating those results locally to see how it fairs.Germany isn't really ideal for media consumption but that would be easy enough to fix with a VPN.On a side note, OpenVPN supports application based tunneling, right?
I don't want to send everything through the VPN and add even more latency, just browser traffic for the most part.
