Roland Gr 30 Video Manuale Italiano Mixer
Hey, I've got one.but found making the patches wasn't really the hard thing to do. You just scroll thru the sounds, and pick what you want.and you can basically only layer one sound on top of it. Then adjust your parameters, balance, effects, and such until you like what you hear. There are some good ideas however, such as taking a piano sound, and layering another piano sound on top of it.an octave up. Using the transpose can help to get some more unique kinda sounds. I haven't gotten into split patches or transposing other than octaves at this point.
I find making a 'lead' patch.adjust it.then find a subtle 'backing' patch to add to it, seems to work best. Like combining two bass sounds.strings with the voices. Not to mention using the MIDI and plugging into another synth. If you find a source for ideas/patches.I'd be interested too. Originally posted by nchapmanI agree with what you said, it is a fairly simple procedure to pick a sound and layer it or change it's effects.I know however there are very bright audio genius's who have already come up with new exciting sounds - you may be one of them.

I'd like to see a group of us pool our resource time on this issue and share what we've done so we're not reinventing the wheel, so-to-speak.If we created a format we could simply upload a few of the settings to each other.Whatcha think??and let me ask stupidly.how would we upload patches??Alan.I'll answer for Neil.I love the GR-33, and I think you would too. I have to second MIXMKR. It really is easy to use once you understand the settings. Ya know it also helps to read the manual I'm using mine to record to Cubase via Tascam US-428 digital mixer. Although the MIDI leaves a bit to desired (at least for me the MIDI seems to not hit the correct notes, at times) I do like, very much, the range and control for sounds in recording. I don't play live anymore but others I've heard love this unit for live play.To answer MIXMKR - we wouldn't be uploading patches per say we (or I) could create a table that lists the settings under COMMON / TONE / EFFECTS. It should be as simple as just putting an X in the box for the active setting (or something like that.)Again, WHATCA think??
