Hello I need some help here.I'm running Windows 7 x64, I have a dual screen setup using two 20' Dell widescreen monitors.The other day I plugged one of my VGA leads into my tv so I could watch some movies. Then when I put the wire back into my monitor my computer wouldn't recognise it's a dell screen, and the resolution would not go to 1600 x 900.

If I try and put it at thatmy monitor blacks out and a dell screen comes up telling me that this screen only works with 1600 x 900.I am confused because my second screen works perfectly. The drivers for the monitor are recognised for the fixed monitor, but the other one which I'm having problems with has drivers saying Generic non-PnP.

After fiddling about for ages. I get the dell driversreinstalled using Windows 7 specific ones. And then I try to update them.

Now the issue is it does now say 'Dell IN2010N' in the driver information. But when I go back to the Windows display / screen resolution page and I can select which monitor, it stillsays Generic Non-PnP monitor. And I can't change the resolution still.I have uninstalled, re installed my graphics drivers twice from Nvidea.

I have even tried deleting the driver for the Generic Non-PnP, which still doesnt help after restarting the computer. I'm really stuck! Because the screen size on the second monitornow is to big and is out of focus compared to my monitor that is fine. I have swapped monitors. That's not the issue. The issue is with the VGA adapter at the back of my PC.

Something has corrupted the files for it and I have no clue how to fix it.Even this guy seems to be having similar issues. I know its a long shot but I have to start somewhere. I've narrowed it down a little more. But now I'm even more confused!It has nothing to do with my monitors. As both are working fine. It has nothing to do with the vga cables. They are both fine.When I plug one monitor in only into one vga (no dual screen) everything is fine my screen displays the correct resolution. This is with either screen, with either vga.

One on the motherboard (which I dont use normally) and one on the graphicscard (which I do use). I also have a DVI on the motherboard and graphics card.
