Product InformationNCAA Football 08 begins its PlayStation 3 run with a 'Campus Legend' mode where gamers must begin as a greenhorn high school player and work their way up in status and skill. After completing an all-star championship series against other regional high schools, players are presented with a list of colleges interested in having their abilities on the field. Gamers begin as the lowest rated team member, and must spend time earning practice points in order to advance up the roster. Players may spend their free time playing basketball, going to movies, or studying. On the field, gamers can influence other players and lead the action during plays with the Leadership Control.

Improvements with the Hit Stick allow smaller players to low tackle larger opponents who sport shoulders of steel. Finally a good Next Gen Football Title from EASince Madden06 for my XBox360 I have not had a pleasant NextGen Experience. The Player Faces were Scary Looking, whoo fire that Art Department.NCAA Football 07 was the 1st that was even OK. Which I had on my 360.Now NCAA Football 08 improves that even more.I bought this years for my PS3 because of my Backwards Compatibility Beef with Microsoft, Can't throw away another Library of Games, so I buy mainly for my PS3. Another story.Anyways the 08 Version is better graphically. The Game saves Highlights of Big gainer plays and Scores and Interceptions. You can go thru Mid game or at the End of Game and Save Replays or Pictures, Very Nice.I typically buy the Rosters which was much easier on the PS3 because you can use a SD Card, Sony Memory Stick, Compact Flash, or even USB Memory Stick and Load it easily on to the PS3. My 360 last year took something called an XSata Interface, my Laptop and an act of god with the Beta Software that you had to use that looked like you were hacking into the Windows Registry.

But once you have the Rosters the Announcers will even start announcing the Names.I wish they had more practice modes and mini games like they had in Previous Gen Maddens on PS2 and XBox. All those Drills were great for practicing individual skills like running down a Running Back with your Line backer, etc.Not sure if I didn't notice it last year or if it is a new addition, but I liked the Play calling options. There is the Standard by Formation but there was by Play type So I could Pull up Run, then Select Inside, Outside, Counter.

I like that type of Play calling alot myself and it was pretty easy to switch back and forth between that and Formation Play calling.I also like the Controls much better this year for the PreSnap.Flipping the Run from Left to Right or vice versa was a one button affair, Thank you so much for that one.Get those Extra Practice/Skill Modes in their and add some more Sideline Activity and we could be looking at a perfect score. There are flaws, however this is a very fun game!First of all I've had this game for about 2 months now. I am into my 4th season in Dynasty mode. I feel that the AI is much better this year because I haven't went undefeated every season.

I actually haven't went undefeated yet! The recruiting is great and adds depth to an already very fun part of Dynasty.I do feel that EA could have put out a MUCH better game, however, if you like college football and enjoy the depth of dynasty mode then definitely get this game! The flaws are apparent, but don't take enough away from the game to make you regret buying it.Some of the things that I dislike are:-No Create-A-Team-In Game Stats are very random and don't designate if they are career, season, or game stats. You have to judge that on your own.-Some uniforms look very glossy and unrealisticI'm trying to think of other things that I dislike and can't think of any others at the moment. I could go on about things that I wish EA would add to next years game, but I can do that with every game they come out with every year.Summary:If you are wanting a fun college game with a deep dynasty mode then buy this game. Its a blast to play and looks very nice on the PS3.

College FootballThe main reason I like this game is that you can start or create a player from scratch at the high school level get drafted/scouted by college's that want you to play for them and after your 3 or 4 years in college you can then be transferred into Madden NFL which is one of the satisfaction that you brought a player from the bottom and brought him up to the top. I bought this game because I didn't just want to create a player and then put him in the NFL, I wanted the whole thing from high school to the pros.

Graphics are good high quality, but the only thing I didn't really like about it, that the camera views can be difficult depending on what position your playing in the game. I don't know if people would find this helpful, but this is how my feeling on this game is. Overall I would give it a A-, even though I didn't get to do all the stuff on this game yet. Fun and Shows Mass Improvement From Last Year's GameNCAA Football 08 has improved greatly, finally using next-generation technology to it's advantage. This game features a new gameplay engine and branching animation system which allows for gang tackling and you won't be stuck in an animation and run automatically run out of bounds on a sideline pass to your running back.Another great feature is the Weather Channel. What, the Weather Channel? Yep, every game will start with the exact weather conditions at the exact moment you are playing wherever you are playing!

Extreme heat in Arizona? Your game will depict that. Hurricane close to Gainesville, Florida? 'The Swamp' of Florida Gators football is where to be.One disappointment for the PS3 version of this game is that it runs at a mere 30 frames per second unlike the Xbox 360 version which runs at 60 frames per second.

To help make up for this, there are 115 detailed stadiums, up from 40 in last year's game, NCAA Football 07. Campus Legend mode is back and you are able to take your player from Campus Legend mode and import him into Madden 08's Superstar Mode.

Lastly, this game allows you to create highlights from your games and submit them to and share them with others online. This game is a must buy if you enjoy college football and enjoy playing video games. It is very fun and the online gameplay is great. EA did a wonderful job this year and I don't know if it is possible to improve the game much more!
